How many hours does admin take at your firm?Three questions. A number in a minute.

Pick your firm's size, the weekly hours each admin area takes across the team, and what an hour costs you. You get a low and a high estimate of hours and yearly cost, and the area to fix first.

1. People at the firm

2. Hours a week, whole team

Add up everyone. A guess is fine.

Your estimate

Pick the hours for at least one area.

The free Scorecard takes about 10 minutes and gives hours and cost by task and person, what blocks automation, and a 30-day plan. Your answers here carry over.

How the estimate works.Your ranges, your hourly cost, 48 weeks.

Hours a week

The low ends of your five ranges, added up, and the high ends. "More than 10" counts as 10 to 15.

Hours a year

Hours a week times 48 working weeks.

Cost a year

Hours a year times your hourly cost. It is what the admin costs now, not a promise of what you get back.

How accurate is this?

It is a rough estimate from five ranges you pick. It shows a low and a high number on purpose. The Scorecard asks per person and per task, so its numbers are tighter.

Why 48 weeks?

A year has 52 weeks; 48 leaves room for holidays and time off. It is an assumption, not a measured figure.

Which hourly cost should I use?

What an hour of the people doing this admin costs the firm: pay plus taxes and benefits. If principals do it, use a principal's billable rate, because that is the work the admin pushes out.

Is anything sent?

No. The math runs in your browser. If you continue to the Scorecard, your answers travel in the link so you do not type them twice. The email box sends only if you press it.
